Ingredients

2 cups orzo pasta

4 cups water

1 chicken boullion cube

1 cup fresh or frozen peas

1 tablespoon butter

salt, for water

In a large saucepan over medium heat, add water and bring to boil. Add chicken bouillon cube and mix to dissolve. |

Add salt as necessary (taste with a spoon) and then mix in the orzo pasta. |

Simmer for 5 minutes and then add the peas cooking for another 7-8 minutes until orzo is tender and peas are cooked. |

Strain and add orzo and peas back into the saucepan. Add a tablespoon of butter, mix well and serve. |
